This report is based on a one-day experience after a huge dump of about 1m (40”). Most of the resort was closed, and avalanche risk was on high. We could still ski to the left and the right of the few groomed runs, and it was epic—a bit flat, but this was all related to the avalanche danger, which we underestimated. During the afternoon, a few snowboarders triggered a slide, and a rescue team had to get them out. One boarder suffered a broken arm.
I’m sure this resort will keep you busy for a day or two, especially midweek and even more so pre-season. They usually get a large amount of snow, but the base area is not very high, so rain might be an issue at times. TipFamily resort, not as expensive as Andermatt and other bigger resorts. If you ski in Andermatt for a week or more, it might be worth it to spend a day there.
