There used to be one T-Bar when I was a child. Here, I made my first attempts on skis. For years, every Wednesday afternoon, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday, we skied the same run. My father used to work there in winter, and we got free season passes. We had a lot of fun, despite the limited vertical and the very few options for getting get back to the base.

When they stopped the operation, my father decided to buy the little hut at the top, so our family would have the right to use it for 99 years. We call it the “Villa” and often use it for a quiet Sunday BBQ. What a great idea my father had…

 

In 2008 and 2009, it was time to go back and hike it. The short run was a blast. Some good snow combined with memories of many years of fun. Damn, I’m getting older; soon it’ll be 40 years since my first skiing attempts – well, in a few years, anyway.
